Free Digital Money is a free open source project to promote and stimulate ideas and innovations in the field of digital currencies.
The project is developing a Digital Money system and applications, suitable for teaching and playing around with ideas.
The project has 3 components:
- A Mint
- A Wallet
- A Messaging Server
The Mint and the Wallet are both standalone applications. Anyone can run a Mint; anyone can have a Wallet.
The Wallet is capable of handling currencies issued by any number of Mints.
The Messaging Server is a web application, run on this website; its purpose is to allow different users to communicate from behind firewalls.
